Apart from considering standard terms and conditions of the policy according to Institute Cargo Clauses *(A), (B) and (C),

- The insured should also notify entire transport route of goods from shipping origin to destination for covering loss or damage to goods during transit. 

For example: Import goods from Japan (FOB or CFR or Similar terms), 
Invoice specifies the route: From Kobe Port, Japan To Bangkok, Thailand  
The customer’s warehouse is located in Rayong but the above invoice is identified the destination as Bangkok. For covering the entire route of transit to Rayong, the insured should adjust the route in the invoice as “From Kobe Port, Japan To Bangkok, Thailand and thence to Rayong”.

For example: Export goods to Malaysia (CIF or Similar terms)
Invoice specifies the route:  From Laem Chabang Port, Thailand To Port Klang, Malaysia
The vendor’s factory is located in Ayutthaya and the customer’s warehouse is located in Kuala Lumpur. But the above invoice is not clearly identified the details about the shipping origin and destination. To making it clearly and covering the entire route of transit, the insured should adjust the route in the invoice as “From Ayutthaya via Laem Chabang, Thailand To Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia”.
